Is the vinyl record included?

No. CentreMount is supplied as the wall display only. The vinyl record shown in photos is for display purposes.

What is CentreMount?

CentreMount is a premium wall display for vinyl records. It lets you display the record itself, rather than the sleeve or album cover, with a clean floating look and a concealed wall fixing.

Each CentreMount includes hidden NFC as standard, so the display can link to a song, album, playlist, website or personal message with a simple phone tap.

What record sizes does it fit?

CentreMount is designed for standard 7-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch vinyl records.

It is designed for bare records only, not album sleeves or framed covers.

Does CentreMount touch the grooves?

No. The record rests around the centre label area on a soft felt support. The playing grooves remain clear of the mount.

How is the record held in place?

The record is guided into position by the central spindle and rests on the felt support. A soft protective cap then fits gently over the spindle to help keep the record secure.

It is a gentle resistance fit — no clamps, no twisting mechanism and no hard pressure against the grooves.

Can I remove the record after mounting it?

Yes. CentreMount is designed so the record can be removed and replaced when needed. Simply remove the soft protective cap, lift the record off, and return it when ready.

What is CentreMount made from?

CentreMount is made from birch ply, recycled cast acrylic, felt, a central alignment spindle and a soft protective cap.

The birch ply gives the product strength and a warm layered edge. The acrylic face is cut from 100% recycled cast acrylic sheet. The felt supports the record and helps protect the wall at the rear.

Installation

How is CentreMount fixed to the wall?

CentreMount uses a concealed sawtooth hanger on the back. Install the supplied wall plug and screw, then hang CentreMount onto the screw.

Once mounted, the fixing is hidden in use.

Is it adhesive-mounted?

No. CentreMount does not rely on adhesive pads. It is fixed using one screw and one wall plug for a more secure installation.

What tools do I need?

You will need:

  • A drill
  • A 6 mm drill bit
  • A screwdriver
  • A pencil or marker, especially if you are installing more than one CentreMount
  • A spirit level, especially if you are installing a set of 3 or 6

What is included?

Each CentreMount includes:

  • 1 x CentreMount
  • 1 x wall screw
  • 1 x wall plug
  • 1 x soft protective cap
  • Installation guide

Can I install it on any wall?

CentreMount can be fitted to many common indoor wall types.

The supplied wall plug is suitable for solid walls, including brick, concrete and masonry.

For plasterboard or hollow walls, please use a suitable plasterboard fixing instead. Most UK homes have plasterboard in some areas, so it is worth checking your wall type before installation.

If you are unsure, ask a competent DIY installer or tradesperson.

Will it damage my wall?

CentreMount requires one drilled hole. The rear felt pad helps the product sit neatly against the wall and adds a soft layer between the mount and the surface.

As with any wall-mounted product, installation and removal may leave a small hole.

 

NFC

What is NFC?

NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It lets a compatible phone open a link when tapped near the hidden NFC area inside CentreMount.

You can use it to link your record display to a song, album, playlist, website or personal message.

Does the NFC come programmed?

CentreMount comes with hidden NFC built in. You can programme it yourself using a free app such as NFC Tools.

What can I link it to?

You can link CentreMount to:

  • A song
  • An album
  • A playlist
  • A music video
  • A website
  • A wedding song
  • A personal message page
  • A memory or dedication
  • A universal music link

What phones can read the NFC?

Most modern NFC-compatible smartphones can read a standard NFC web link by tapping the phone near CentreMount.

For best results, make sure NFC is enabled and the phone screen is awake or unlocked. Some older phones may not support NFC reading, or may require NFC to be switched on in settings.

Does someone need an app to tap it?

Usually, no. Most modern NFC-compatible phones can open a standard web link without needing a special app.

The NFC Tools app is only needed if you want to programme or change the link.

Can I change the NFC link later?

Yes. The NFC can be rewritten, so you can update the link whenever you want.

How should I programme the NFC if CentreMount is a gift?

If you know which music app the recipient uses, you can programme the NFC with a direct link to the song, album or playlist on that service.

If you are not sure which music app they use, we recommend creating a universal music link first. This gives the recipient a choice of services, such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and others.

You then programme the NFC with that one universal link.

This way, the gift still works well even if the recipient uses a different music app from you.

Can I link to a personal message?

Yes. You can link to a simple webpage, message page or digital note. This is ideal for gifts, weddings, anniversaries or meaningful records.

For example, the link could open a page that says:

“This was the song playing when we first met.”

Then the page can include a button or link to listen to the song.

Is delivery free?

Yes. UK delivery is included in the price.

How quickly will my order be dispatched?

Orders are dispatched within 2 working days.

What delivery service do you use?

Orders are sent using Royal Mail tracked delivery.

Can I return my order?

Yes. Returns are accepted in line with our returns policy, provided the item is returned unused, complete and in its original condition.

What if my item arrives damaged?

Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photos of the packaging and product. We will help resolve it.

Is CentreMount suitable as a gift?

Yes. CentreMount works especially well as a gift because it can turn a meaningful record into a display piece.

It is ideal for birthdays, housewarmings, anniversaries, music lovers and collectors.

Is it suitable as a wedding gift?

Yes. CentreMount can be used to display a first dance record, proposal song, wedding playlist or another meaningful piece of music.

With the hidden NFC, the display can link to the song, a playlist or a personal message.

Care & Safety

How should I clean CentreMount?

Use a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive cloths or excessive moisture.

Is CentreMount a toy?

No. CentreMount is for decorative use only.

It includes small parts, including a removable protective cap, screw and wall plug. Keep out of reach of young children and pets.

Can I use valuable or sentimental records?

CentreMount is designed to support the record carefully around the centre label area, keeping the playing grooves clear.

However, vinyl records should always be displayed with care. Avoid placing records in direct sunlight for long periods, or near heat sources such as radiators, fireplaces, log burners or strong lamps, as heat can warp vinyl over time.

We recommend displaying records you are comfortable having on the wall, especially if they are rare, valuable or irreplaceable.
